Daily Cost of Living in Germany

Compared to other European countries like Austria, Belgia, Denmark, France, and Switzerland, the cost of living in Germany is relatively lower. The German social and tax systems allow its people to benefit a lot from the state too. However, the standard of living in this country is high and certainly way more expensive than African or Asian countries. I’m writing another post, where I share how I save money on my everyday living with the concept of sharing economy.

Here are lists of prices, categorized in daily cost and weekend cost (for students — read: college-week cost and leisure cost). Hence, the prices can not be held for accuracy because I didn’t use my research super power skill — the prices are based merely on my almost accurate memory of my shopping list.

PS: this made me suddenly remember a joke that people will read a shopping list written by a chic (of course!) frenchwoman and find it sophisticated. Well, unlucky for you I’m not french. But I’m chic, tough. LOL.
